My new podcast, Joint Ops Monthly: The Unofficial Modern Warfare 2 Podcast, has made its debut. You can listen to it here.

As you may suspect, this has kept my blogging down a bit the past few days. Things are back to normal, though, so I will be blogging regularly again starting now.

I can finally talk about my new podcast — Joint Ops Monthly: The Unofficial Modern Warfare 2 Podcast. The first episode was recorded last night with an early February launch date. You can learn more about it by clicking here.

Hello Again

As some of you know, for several years I regularly updated my blog, Restaurant Fuel, and then kind of stopped. But now I’ve caught the blog  bug again, but Restaurant Fuel seemed like an inappropriate place to post my musings about the world. The name has gone stale and hearkens back to a time in my life that has long since slipped out of existence.  Better to start new with a blank slate.

For people who don’t know me, I’m a Washington, D.C.-based father of twins, podcaster, gamer, aging punk rocker, friend to dogs, ally to cats, avid reader and lover of all permutations of science fiction  and auteur cinema. I follow politics pretty closely, and I am an unapologetic liberal.  I’m religiously agnostic, and although I don’t completely discount the potential existence of a higher being, I think most organized religion is obvious bullshit. I am also the husband of Tina Seamonster, well-known for her writing, podcasting, screen t-shirt design and rampant tweeting.

What to expect?  Posts about video games, books, movies and sometimes politics.  Maybe even food.  I’ll keep my television commentary relegated to Television Zombies, where I podcast and blog about TV. And although I have cardiomyopathy, an illness that dominates much of my life, I’ll avoid indulging in too many self-reflective posts about mortality, sickness, etc. Though there may be some semi-serious accounts about the ridiculousness of my experience and the occasional health update, I don’t want to make it the focus of my blog.

In any event, it’s time to get blogging. Thanks for checking in, and my goal is to write at least once a day, if not more. We’ll see if I can do it.
